The title of this article is “Why Your Business Should Invest In Paid Traffic,” and rightly so. But let’s be a little creative and give it a synonym. How about, “Why Your Business Should Invest In Marketing In The First Place.”
What is the number one goal of every serious entrepreneur walking the face of this planet? To scale their business of course. Now what’s the number one problem with this goal? Not everyone can scale their business. If you’re a serious entrepreneur and you’ve reached this point, you’re faced with two options. The first option is learn everything there is to know about marketing and implementing it to your business yourself. Now a lot of people don’t like this option because they don’t have enough time on their hands or they just don’t want to do it. And if you’re one of those people, you’re going to have to go with the second option and that’s investing in paid traffic.
Some of you reading this might be confused as to what I mean when I say, “paid traffic.”
… And by “paid traffic,” I mean that you’re paying for traffic…
No, what I mean is that you’re paying money to generate attention from people who have shown interest in your product or service. The trick behind all this madness is to accumulate as many people interested in your product or service and convince them to invest in it, through a series of methodically created advertisements.
Now we have to move on to WHERE you should invest in paid traffic. What platform works best? Here’s a good answer: it depends on your product or service, location, size of your business, industry, and a variety of other factors. The most complete and effective advertising platform in the world is Facebook due to the enormous amount of volume the platform withstands and the highly intricate targeting system it deploys through its software. The major of advantage of investing in Facebook advertising is the price, compared to other platforms. This means that if you’re a small business who wants to capitalize on your money invested, you should look into Facebook ads.
Google ads also work a little differently than Facebook ads. Google ads are designed for the user to bid on keywords and to target consumers utilizing those key words with text-based advertisements. If you’re a larger corporation or a higher functioning e-commerce platform who prioritizes their website optimization, google ads can be the route for you.
There are a plethora of other platforms allowing you to invest money for paid traffic. Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, offers an outstanding bang-for-your-buck price on ads but a smaller conversion rate, as opposed to Facebook ads due to the design and function of the platform and their weaker targeting system.
LinkedIn ads are starting to become a new phenomena as the platform grows larger and larger and fully embraces content creation. The organic reach available on LinkedIn is outrageously efficient. The ads on LinkedIn may be a bit pricier than Facebook, however, if your business is a B2B business, LinkedIn could be a highly effective platform in terms of paid traffic. What better way to reach entrepreneurs and motivated people deep in their careers, than through a social media platform labeled as a professional network?
The last form of EFFECTIVE paid traffic I want to talk about is YouTube ads. YouTube ads? Yes, YouTube ads.
YouTube ads can actually be considered one of the most effective forms of paid traffic in the world if you look at the statistics and break it down. According to hootsuite.com, 73% of U.S. adults watched YouTube from 2018 to 2019. Investing in paid traffic in a video platform that has 2 billion monthly users is worth the risk if you break down the logistics.
Investing in paid digital marketing campaigns can be key for scaling your business if you are working hard day by day to produce a unique brand. You do still have to do everything else required to build a successful brand and scale your business, but paid digital marketing campaigns can do a great job of generating revenue.
